The interior of the Master's TARDIS looked a lot different than the Doctor's. The walls were lined with bookshelves and foreign machines that constantly moved like clockworks. The console itself was clean and of black metal, but engraved with delicate patterns that could only be felt when one ran their fingers over them. Somewhere stood a table with lots of taken apart things, where the Master loved to tinker around. And when he wasn't busy with that he usually sat on the sofa he had dragged inside here to read.
What Roka liked most about his TARDIS, though, was the lighting.

The grass glowed golden in the light of the sinking sun, gently waving in an unfelt breeze. He walked up the hill to a large tree with silver leaves that wore the same golden tinge in the current light. It was an image from a tale, an image he witnessed almost every evening and that, however, never ceased to amaze his plagued mind.
There under the tree sat a boy, roughly twelve years old - his own age - blond hair and freckles on his face. The eyes were cast upwards to the sky and watched the slowly appearing stars. As if the boy had heard him, he turned his head and smiled pl

Act I - Running together
In which the Master has too many secrets and Roka starts to accept her choices.
"Follow me," the boy whispered and swiftly ran into a nearby alleyway.
Roka spun around, only able to catch a glimpse at his vanishing small back. He wore the dirty, ragged clothes of an urchin. Judging by his size, probably not older than ten. In case he was of human origin, that is.
"Did the brat steal something from you?" the Master asked with a taunting undertone. "You really should start remembering that you're visible now."
"No, he didn't," she grumbled back. "Just r

Memories and fading dreams. Reality?
Are you awake?
"You endured travelling with the Doctor only to make Roka smile again?"
A smug smirk is tugging at the corner of the Master's mouth, his eyes flash towards Amy, his arms folding in front of his chest. "Who do you think I am, matchstick?" he sneers, "Of course there was more behind it."

Shadow of a Wing (9 - The Crow) [Doctor Who]
For quite a while he Reaper tested around with different frequencies, being almost absolutely sure that the ghost was still with him. If only he could manage to make it visible. Or at least feed it enough energy to communicate.
Even though he knew this wouldn't solve the main issue, it would still be comforting to know...
Slowly he let his tools sink and sighed. Maybe it would be a bad thing. The state his ghost had been in when entering the TARDIS certainly wasn't anything he wished for anyone. And being unconscious about it might still be better than having to be fully aware.
By the Time Vortex! Was he really thinking about not doing som

Night spread over the land like a cool velvet cloak, the darkness only infused by faint sounds of a crackling bonfire and waves, calmly caressing the sands beneath them. A nearby forest embraced the bay, but without even the slightest breeze its branches and leaves made no noise, giving the scene the appearance of a painting, cut out of reality and frozen in time.
Somewhere, not too far away, the silence got broken by the wheezing and woofing of engines. Moments later a stone formation appeared, faded i

"EX-TER-MI-NATE!"
The Dalek's scream came from nearby, followed by the familiar sound of their guns. Someone screamed, more silhouettes ran through the smoke of a burning war machine, then the sworn enemy of the Time Lords came in sight. It was only a single one, chasing after the fleeing people. All the dense smoke seemingly made it lose sight of them though and it turned around to search for a new target.
It found one, standing in the middle of a wide field, only strewn with debris and fire.
Too late Roka remembered the coat that made her visible. N

It was a big, greenish slime monster.
Literally.
The Reaper stared at the thing that he had just stepped on and wiped his boot disgustedly on a patch of dry grass nearby. Then he grabbed a stick and poked the wobbling mass.
It still moved.
Face contorting in even more disgust, the Reaper pulled out his laser screwdriver and chose its highest setting, aiming it at the creature afterwards to vaporize it.
There was one thing he had learned from human videogames: No one ever needed oversized slime monsters.
His way lead further down an empty street, framed by deserted brick stone houses. No one was around, but here and there he could make o

"Torchwood?" the Master asked slowly and observed Roka as she got out more paper to scribble some numbers onto them. He tilted his head and raised a brow.
"Yup, just have to get the coordinates from somewhere..."
"Wait... you calculated that by hand?" His voice was filled with scepticism.
"Uh, yeah, of course."
The Master chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Idiot," he said softly. "You should have read the whole manual. And how did you recharge that thing so fast? I thought it would take years."
"Thanks for that," grumbled Roka. "I had your laser screwdr

There had been an error in the calculation. Roka knew it immediately when she materialized back on earth and saw that the sun hung in the sky again. The clock on the Vortex Manipulator told her it was the next day, so at least she wasn't too far off. This second jump had been not less straining on her body though, and for a few minutes she leaned against the wall of a house to get her rebelling - and luckily empty - stomach under control.
"I ran out. Everyone was changing!"
Roka looked up, recognizing Donna's familiar voice.
"Gramps, can you hear me?
