It had to find a body. If this "it" , this "form" this "big fog" didn't find a body, soon it wasn't going to last much longer. ( this is a different alien that I have made up, now please back to your regularly scheduled reading.)
Katharine Michealis walked down the dark streets of Cardiff, Wales. It wasn't a good time to be in the streets of Cardiff at night, it never was, a really never would be and she knew it. All the Nostrovites, Weavils, Weeping A

The wheezing, groaning sound of the TARDIS materializing echoed across the small park. Inside, the Doctor flipped the final switch on the console and leaned against it with a disheartened sigh. He crossed an arm over his chest an rubbed his forehead with his other hand; unsure if he was ready for this.
A soft melodic tune floated up from somewhere in the TARDIS and the Doctor pushed himself off the console and followed it. He reached a small room with walls painted to look like the night sky. A small device made it appear as though thousands of stars shine in the little room. And standing amid the softly glowing sky-scape was the source of t

‘Some cities never change,’ thought the Doctor while landing his TARDIS on the main square of Cardiff again. He was here to charge her and just to go for a walk, to enjoy the silence of warm summer evening, or just an illusion of silence, as it is never silent here on Earth. And the city really did look the same as when the Doctor came here last. Lots of time passed for him, for the time traveler, and only half a year passed here.
The Doc left his time machine, went out and looked around. The same square, same buildings, same people… A lonely guy with a bottle of beer was sitting on the border. The halo of sadness around h
The Tardis flew through the vortex and Sherlock tapped lightly at the control panel. “Have you ever reunited with someone after disappearing for years?” He asked abruptly.
The Doctor looked up from his side of the controls and replied, “I have disappeared for centuries. You are wonder about the best way to tell John that your alive, aren't you?”
Sherlock nodded and the Doctor smiled, “One time I disappeared for two years and reintroduced my self by jumping out of a cake at my friend’s stag party.”
“I will keep that in mind,” Sherlock replied with feigned interest.

Gun fire could be heard from the medial tent. John glanced at his only patient who was sleeping with the aid of powerful sedatives. A bullet shot through the air and John fell forward clutching his shoulder. Eyes watering with pain he could hear boot-clad foot steps rapidly approaching the tent. John looked up in time to see a soldier trying to enter pitch forward as a bullet caught him in the back.
Wincing in pain John crawled to the man and felt his wrist for a pulse. Unable to detect one he rolled the man over to check his neck. He froze in horror as when he saw a mass of dark curls under the helmet. Sherlock’s lifeless eyes stared

The Tardis landed on the bank of a quiet river and Sherlock Holmes emerged alone. He could see a boy sitting a few meters away tracing pictures into the dirt with a stick and oblivious to his presence. Sherlock circled around him, keeping out of sight in the forest of trees. When he was in position to approach the boy head on he started forward.
Sherlock observed the boy. He was wearing old clothes that covered his bony frame and he had thick brown hair despite his malnutrition. Bruises ran up both sides of his head, the pattern suggesting they were intentional blows from an adult. Sherlock knew they would leave him partially deaf. The boy

He had dropped the phone. Steeling himself, he took a deep breath and jumped.
Sherlock’s eyes snapped open and he let out a low growl of annoyance. It seemed every time he tried to analyze his ‘death’ the Tardis would start chiming. A second latter the Doctor rushed past him, mallet raised. Sherlock observed as the Doctor, manic as always when he heard the chime, hit the controls wildly.
The Tardis fell silent and the Doctor looked up, the mania and fear starting to fade from his face. “Sorry,” the older man said as he ruffled his hair, “she is rather persistent.”
Sherlock rose form his seat

“Sh- sherlock? No, it can’t be. I’m hallucinating, I have to be, your dead, I know you are-”
“John.”
“I saw you jump, and fall, and you landed, and the blood-”
“John! It’s me. I promise.” Sherlock said, walking up to the shaking doctor. He grabbed his shoulders and looked straight into John’s eyes. “I’m alive.”
“But then, this whole time, if you were, why did you, hide? Why did you pretend to be dead, and those things you said, before you fell-”
Sherlock looked down. “I thought if you believed I had lied, you wouldn't have mourned

The Doctor grabbed at the railing as his Tardis shook violently.
“Woah! What was that!?” he said, running over to the monitor. His eyes widened when he saw the screen. “How the hell did that get there? A tear in the universe? That shouldn’t even be possible. Damn, probably some pompous Time Agent thinking he can break whatever universal walls he feels like.” The Doctor grumbled to himself, honing in on the coordinates of the tear before parking the TARDIS next to it. Pushing open the doors, he saw that he was in a dingy alleyway. Grabbing an old newspaper he noted he was in London, July 1990. Before going even 4

20 years later
John trudged up the steps to his dreary flat. He slammed the door shut and tossed his coat onto the nearest couch.
"Damn psychiatrist. She wants me to move on? Its only been a year for gods sake!"
John angrily stomped into the kitchen, boiling some water for tea. He walked back to the living room and flopped down on his chair. His cellphone rang. Getting up slowly, he answered it.
"What?"
"John, dear? Its Mrs Hudson. I was still wondering if you would like-
"I can't. I already told you. I'm sorry, I just can't move back into Baker."
John heard a sigh from the other side of the phone.
